MapleWalk Garden

MapleWalk is the private garden of Lib Jones and Tom Nunnenkamp in the SouthPark area of Charlotte, NC. While the garden derives its name from the over 90 different varieties of Japanese maples, MapleWalk is also known for its collection of dogwoods, redbuds, conifers, camellias, and colorful herbaceous perennials. These species tulips have been successful in perennializing for me.

Tulipa clusiana 'Cynthia' is like getting two tulips in one as they open to yellow, but will close in late afternoon/early evening to soft red outer petals. They are underplanted with Mazus reptans 'Alba.'
